Dr. Saad Dhafer Alshahrani
Dr. Saad completed his MBBS from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in 2011, passed the Saudi Board of Emergency Medicine in 2016 and has completed his Faculty development fellowship Program in Emergency Medicine through RRIEM at GWU in March 2022. Dr. Saad is presently working in Dr.Sulaiman Al Habib hospital (HMG) Al Khobar, KSA as the Medical Director and Consultant Emergency Medicine. Dr. Saad has been Appointed as Onsite Program Lead for the Faculty Development fellowship Program in collaboration with RRIEM at GWU.
Dr. Arif Ishtiq Mattoo
Dr.Arif Mattoo has done his MBBS from the University of Science and Technology in Chittagong. He completed his Masters in Emergency Medicine from the RRIEM at GWU in Kolkata, India. Dr.Arif is presently working in Dr.Sulaiman Al Habib hospital (HMG) Al Khobar KSA as a Clinical Quality Lead Medical Admin and Chief Specialist Emergency Medicine. Dr Arif has been involved in the development of emergency care service delivery and training programs in India for four years with GWU and is happy to serve as a contributing faculty member for the Faculty Development fellowship Program and has been teaching for the past 7 years in collaboration with RRIEM at GWU. Dr Mattoo was selected as Clinical Leader HIMSS50 in 2021.
Dr. Farhat Anjum Mattoo
Dr.Farhat Matoo completed her MBBS from the University of Science and Technology in Chittagong. She completed her Masters in Emergency Medicine from the RRIEM at GWU in Kolkata, India, then completed the Faculty Development Fellowship Program in Emergency Medicine in March 2022. Dr.Farhat is presently working in Dr.Sulaiman Al Habib hospital (HMG) Al Khobar KSA as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine. Dr Farhat manages the Clinical Pathways in the department. Dr Farhat is happy to serve as contributing faculty member for the Faculty Development fellowship Program in collaboration with RRIEM at GWU.
Dr. Nisreen Hamza Maghraby
Dr. Nisreen Hamza Maghraby is a Canadian-trained Emergency Medicine and Trauma Consultant based in Saudi Arabia. She is an Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and holds dual master’s degrees in Educational Psychology and Health Leadership from McGill University, where she also completed a fellowship in Trauma & Disaster Management. Dr. Maghraby is the founder of Saudi Arabia’s first ED ECMO team and has led multiple national simulation and disaster preparedness initiatives. She serves as DIO at HMG–Khobar and sits on the ATLS Senior Educator Advisory Board (ACS). A well-known national and international speaker, her academic interests include trauma systems, disaster readiness, simulation-based education, and faculty development.
Dr. Amjad Obied
Dr. Amjad Obeid is a highly qualified and experienced medical professional with expertise in emergency medicine, disaster medicine, and road safety. He is double board certified in emergency medicine since 2008 and has over 25 years of experience in the field. Dr. Obeid holds a Master's degree in Disaster Medicine (EMDM) from Italy and a Master of Business Administration from ESSEC University in France. He has also received certification as an executive emergency medicine leader from Harvard University and completed a Faculty Development Fellowship from George Washington University. Currently, Dr. Obeid serves as a Consultant in Adult Emergency Medicine and Head of the Emergency Department at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Khobar. Dr. Obeid has extensive knowledge and experience in road safety and injury prevention. He worked as the World Health Organization (WHO) focal point for seven years and was the National Data Coordinator for the three global reports on road safety published by WHO. In terms of medical training, Dr. Obeid is a regional faculty for MENA region and a senior instructor certified by the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support BLS, ACLS and PALS. He is also a certified instructor by the American College of Surgeons for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He has been actively involved in teaching and examiner faculty as part of the Saudi Board Residency Program (SBEM) in various hospitals for over 10 years. Joined GW FDP as faculty since 2025. In addition to his clinical role, he has been the Chief Medical Officer for Bahrain Grand Prix Race (F1) since 2006, a member of the FIA Medical Commission and has been appointed as the FIA medical delegate for F1 races since 2023
