Distribution and Evaluation of the 'Global' FemInEM Fix 2018 Curriculum to Women Emergency Physicians around the World

You are invited to participate in a research study under the direction of Dr. Katherine Douglass of the Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine (RRIEM) and George Washington University (GWU). Taking part in this research is entirely voluntary. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the community of people using the Global FemInEM Fix 2018 curriculum, their evaluation of the curriculum, and identify future opportunities for growth. As part of the study, you will be asked to complete a survey.

If you choose to take part in the survey component of this study, you will complete a survey of questions related to your own demographics and your impressions of the curriculum.

In this study, you may refuse to answer any of the questions and you may stop your participation in this study at any time. The survey should take no more than 30 minutes to complete in total. Participating in this study poses no risks that are not ordinarily encountered in daily life.

You will not benefit directly from your participation in the study. The benefits to science and humankind that might result from this study are increased knowledge regarding the value of the FemInEM curriculum, the people accessing the curriculum and ideas for the future development of curriculum and professional opportunities.

Every effort will be made to keep your information confidential, however, this cannot be guaranteed. The online survey tool will not record your name or any identifying information. The study investigators will only receive the answer to your questions. If the results of this research study are reported in journals or at scientific meetings, the people who participated in this study will not be named or identified. In both cases, every precaution will be taken to assure anonymity and confidentiality. You will be given the opportunity to share your email address for further contact with the research team. This is entirely optional.

The Office of Human Research of George Washington University, at the telephone number (202) 994-2715, can provide further information about your rights as a research participant. Further information regarding this study may be obtained by contacting Dr. Katherine Douglass at (202) 741-2911.

Your willingness to participate in this research study is implied if you proceed with completing the survey.
