Join the GWU Center for Injury Prevention & Control as we welcome Jonathan Lowy from Global Action on Gun Violence. Mr. Lowy is a gun violence prevention attorney and advocate, with 25 years of experience advocating and lobbying for policies, and successfully litigating impactful cases on behalf of government entities, victims, and survivors of mass shootings and other incidents, and NGOs in the United States.

Mr. Lowy works with national and local governments, and NGOs, throughout the world to prevent violence, including stopping trafficking of guns from the U.S., and reforming business practices of gun manufacturers, dealers and other entities that facilitate and enable to supply of the criminal gun market. He has been named one of the 500 leading lawyers in America for the past decade by Lawdragon magazine. Prior to starting Global Action on Gun Violence, Jonathan served as chief counsel for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
